Prayer
and intercession

Fredheim Arena is part of the prayer house movement and then it is natural that we focus on and create spaces for prayer.

The prayer work at Fredheim consists of various prayer meetings, time for silence and intercession.

In the spring of 2023, we got a new chapel, where most days of the week there are various prayer gatherings, praise gatherings, times of silence, time prayers and an open chapel for those who just want to come and be alone or light a candle. There are several prayer books/time prayers/songbooks available in the chapel.

Prayer Meetings

When we gather for prayer meetings there is great freedom to pray or just be in silence. The prayer that is asked may well be short prayers. When prayers are marked by thanks and adoration, there is a lightness in prayer. We want joy and gratitude to accompany the prayer meetings. (Fil.4,4-7)

Tuesday and Wednesday: 06.30-07.30: Morning Prayer Meetings

We pray for what concerns us, each other, the congregation, our city and the world situation.

Tuesday 18.30-19.30: Prayer Meeting for Persecuted Christians

On the second Tuesday of the month, there is a prayer meeting for persecuted Christians. Here you will also get information about the situation of Christians in other parts of the world.

Wednesday 10.30-12.00: Prayer meeting

We pray for the congregation, those struggling with illness and pain who have enrolled in prayer needs, for our city, what occupies us and each other.

Thursday 19.30-21.30: Prayer in the chapel

On Thursday nights during odd weeks, we meet for prayer in the chapel. Here we pray for current affairs, for each other, for the city and for the parish. If you are sick, or have other intercession wishes, we will also facilitate that. The form is free.

Friday 11.15-12.00: Time Prayer & Lunch

We meet for time prayer at 11:15. We pray 'Laudes' because of the length of the prayer. Tide bean lasts about 15-20 min. Afterwards, we have lunch together in the office. Here it is possible to buy into the staff lunch for 25, - or bring your own lunch.

Sunday 10.30-10.50: Prayer before the service

We pray for the children's church, the church service and what those who come bring with them out of need and thanks.

Improvements Service

We want to be available to pray for each other. At the end of our services, we open up to the intercession of those who want and need. It happens inside the chapel, where there is silence, and room to be able to speak, pray and light candles undisturbed. If you want to meet someone and be asked for, just get in touch and we will arrange a time and place.

A group of about 20 healers praying for intercession needs that come in. The prayer requirement will be prayed for 14 days. Unless otherwise agreed, prayer needs are anonymised.

We also have a group that prays for all the members at Fredheim Arena. They have divided the days between them so that all the members are prayed for each day.

If you want to intercede or if you want to become part of the prayer service at Fredheim, you can send an text/email to the head of the improvement service Anne Wenche Hellem:
